Graphic Base

The Graphic Base is right on the beach, in the Seaside Park of Burgas. It was founded in 1982 by the great Burgas artist Todor Atanasov. Since its creation it has printed tens of thousands of etchings, aquatints and most of all lithographs. This is one of the few active graphic bases left in the country. There aren’t many places in Europe which still do lithographs – printing using stone and a special press. In the Graphic Base – Burgas there are international practice sessions, workshops and seminars. A lot of people gather there and not only from the artistic world of the city. The Base is open to visitors who can see the artists’ work first-hand and even try to create something themselves.
