You want to take a walk through Burgas, but you don’t know where to go?
Probably the best place to start would be the perfect architectural centre of the city, known to the locals as “The Hub”. It is also called the “Compass” and is located on the high street – Alexandrovska St. The Compass marks the zero kilometre of Burgas (elevation 0) and is a bronze art piece – a stylish decorative plate with relief images. This special symbol is the point against which everything else in the city is measured, even the satellite navigation.
The sculptor Radostin Damaskov made the Compass by the design of the architect Vladimir Milkov.
