Teodosiy Spasov, Antoni Donchev trio, Vasil Spasov quintet, Burgas big band and The Funky Jazz Project will participate in the unique musical event.
Only three days are left to the festival for connoisseurs "Jazz in Burgas". The unique musical event will be held on 10, 11 and 12 July.
Midst the great atmosphere of Flora Burgas the connoisseurs of the stylish music will spend an exciting meeting with some of the best musicians in Bulgaria.
Among the big surprises of the musical event is Sabin Todorov, who is returning from Brussels especially for "Jazz in Burgas". He will take part in the program from day one /10 July/, and after his performances in Burgas he leaves for a Jazz festival in Morocco.
On 10 July the jazz fest will be opened by "Burgas Big Band", with conductor Hristo Kojuharov, from 18.00 hours. The musicians from Burgas will perform popular jazz melodies in front of expo center "Flora". Right after that - from 20.00 hours on the same stage, Sabin Todorov /piano/ and Plamen Dimitrov /accordion/ will give start to the program.
From 21.30 family Donchevi and Dimitar Semov will present for the first time their project "Puf-paf". The jam session will start from 23.00 hours.
The program for 11 July starts with an incredible bouquet from bold jazzmen, a rich composition of brass instruments or in shor "Brazz VilliDJ". Led by the trombonist Velislav Stoyanov, the band will take a walk in the Sea garden while playing and invite jazz lovers to join them. The stroll will end at the "Flora", where "Burgas Big Band" with conductor Hristo Kojuharov will perform again. Afterwards the program continues with "Jazz&Jokes".
Jazz & Jokes is a declaration of love, born from the desire of the participants to entertain the audience in an extraordinary manner, by using the huge potential of the jazz musical style. Not by chance among them are two jazzmen - Vasil Parmakov /piano/ and Veselin Veselino - Eko /contrabass/. The improvisation is the foundation of the project and is works as a connecting instrument between the jazz hits and the funny moments. The outplaying is the driving force, which drives forward the verbal puns, satirical characters and transforms them in pitiful caricatures from the modern day.
The desire of the organizers is "Jazz in Burgas" to attract all the musical interests and age groups. For this on 12 July from 11:00 hours in the "Flora", especially for the youngest fans of the musical genre, there will be Jazz for kids - musical project of Ventsi Blagoev and friends. The children will have the chance for the first time to examine and touch the instruments and the real spirit of jazz; they will take part in the improvisations.
The second part of "Jazz in Burgas" will be held on 4 August.
The organizers of the festival are Municipality Burgas, in partnership with Foundation America for Bulgaria, Goethe institute, "Art in motion", "Art Atelier", "Art office", "All the jazz", Bank DSK and others.
