Burgas is "everlasting as the sea

Burgas can enjoy its new, official motto.

“Everlasting as the sea” is the motto of Burgas.

The decision was made today at a meeting of municipal council, where 39 members voted for these words.

“Everlasting as the sea” was picked, after a several month long campaign for gathering of suggestions by residents of Burgas.

The suggestions received were over 300. The commission picked three versions – “Spirit, sea and eternity”, “Sea, spirit and will” and “Everlasting as the sea”.
