With a poetical-musical show residents and guests of Burgas will mark 24 June, Midsummer Day.

The event is realized with the support of Municipality Burgas under project "Equinox" and will gather guests and friends in the court yard of the Ethnographic museum from 11.30 hours, this Wednesday, 24 June.

The Ethnographic museum is a guarding of the past with the Bulgarian traditions and customs. The idea is the holiday to have its logical continuation as a stylish, night, artistic event, in which the traditional folklore mix with the classic and the modern times. Main aim of the project is to gather lots of people in the museum as a cultural institution, who will incorporate with the language of contemporary art - tints, sounds and speech.

On this day, when the year is divided in two parts, our forefathers payed their respects to the sun, warmth, fire, fertility, herbs, water and the magic power of nature. On this night the sky opens and the stars come to the ground. The female beginning is strongly covered - the woman-element, the woman-fire, the woman-nature, the woman-water, the woman-sun, the woman-healer, the woman-flower, the woman-magic. This atmosphere will be re-created with the power of contemporary art by the participants in project "Equinox".
