On 16 may 2015 /Saturday/ for the 11th consecutive time Regional history museum Burgas will join the European Night of Museums.
Four exhibitions of RHM-Burgas will be open for free from 18:00 to 24:00 hours.
The Event this year will begin with the opening of the new exhibition “Fossils” of the Natural science museum, with which it will mark its 30 year anniversary.
At 18:30 hours street “Bogoridi” will lead to the gold of the northern Thracians – in the Archeological museum deputy minister of culture associate professor, Dr. Boni Petrunova and prof. Bojidar Dimitrov will open the guest exhibitions “Golden treasure of Preslav”, “Golden horse ammunition from Ivanski village, Shumen”, “The gold of the northern Thracians: the treasures of RHM – Lovech” and the modernized expositions of RHM – Burgas “Prehistory” and “Ancient sailing”.
From 19:00 hours in the Sacred image hall of the History museum the deputy governor and regional representative of BAS (Bulgarian academy of science) associate professor, Dr. Sevdalina Turmanova will present the exhibition of National ethnographic museum of BAS “Communion bread. Bread and liturgy”.
At 19:30 hours in the Ethnographic museum will scatter the fragrance of roses from Kazanlak.
The guest exhibition of HM “Iskra” Kazanlak “With the aroma of Kazanlak rose in Burgas” will be opened under the patronage of the mayor of Municipality Burgas.
The official guests of the Night of museums in Burgas will be the director of the economics commission in NA (National assembly) Petar Kanev, members of parliament and municipal councilors.
