
An exhibition devoted to Bulgarian education, will open on 12 May, Tuesday, in hall "Al. G. Kodjakafaliyata" in Cultural center "Sea casino". It will be under the motto "School symbols and rituals".
The exhibition is part of the mobile exposition with same name of National museum for education in Gabrovo. Some of the exhibits in it are given by Regional History Museum - Burgas, National archive - Burgas and Regional library "P. K. Yavorov".
The information panels are full covered with items from school life and rare editions. Among them are the "Ribniyat bukvar" /The fish primer/, "Teoreticheska i prakticheska chitatelnitsa" /Theoretical and practical readers/, "Tetradka po stenografiya" /Stenography notebook/ by Komnya Arnaudova of the Maiden's high school - 1940, students paintings.
Ink-well from silver-plated brass and a huge ruler, used in the geography classes in the Maiden's high school in Burgas in the period 1939-1941, complete the exhibition.
The Museum of education was founded in 1974 and is the memory of the Bulgarian enlightenment. It has more than 175 000 documents, photographs and other items, related to education from X century to present days.
