"Let's clean Bulgaria together" - read when and how?

For a consecutive year Municipality Burgas supports the campaign of “BTV Media Group”, which this year is under the name “Let’s clean Bulgaria together”.

The new this year is that there will be five one day campaigns for cleaning the most vulnerable zones – city areas, places for rest and sports, playgrounds for kids, nature parks and protected areas, river beds.

A new mobile app was developed. The special mobile app for the participants can be used in real time to mark the location of the cleaning place and the people cleaning it. The app is free and ca be downloaded from the campaign site.

On the appointed thematic dates Municipality Burgas calls upon its citizens to join actively in the cleaning of the areas.

 Cleaning dates 2015.:

10 May – European day for cleaning: campaign for cleaning the city areas

Cleaning of the areas between buildings and green zones in the city of Burgas (districts and housing complexes).

17 May – International day of sports: campaign for cleaning the zones for rest and sports.

The following zones will be cleaned:

2.Forest park “Rosenets”

3.Area “Borovata gorichka”, housing complex “Meden rudnik”

4.The Sea garden

5.Park Izgrev

6.Park Veleka

7.Park Slaveykov

31 May – On occasion the international day of the child – 1 June, cleaning of the playgrounds

1.Playgrounds in the housing complexes and districts

2.School and kindergarten court yards

7 June – National day of the nature parks: cleaning of nature parks and protected areas

1.Protected area “Poda”

2.Reserve “Atanasovsko ezero”

27 June – Cleaning of waterholes and rivers

1.North beach (unguarded zone) – from restaurant “Fiesta” to the Salt works

For all who wish to participate in the cleaning campaign, Municipality Burgas has provided gloves and bags, and dumpster trucks for moving the garbage.

Bags and gloves can be acquired from the territorial departments in the housing complexes, the mayors’ offices and Office “Environment”, str. Sheynovo 24, room 201.

What do you need to know? – The bags with garbage need to be gathered near a road or a street after the cleaning, so the trucks can collect them!
