As different are people from the corners of the world, there are things that everyone has done at least once in their lifetime. One of them is to memorize a catchy tune and to replay it in our heads for hours, even after when we are tired of it. We do it not because we have an impeccable sense of the melody, but because we have the desire to enjoy the beauty of music. On Easter, residents of Burgas won’t have to hum their favorite melodies, because they will have the chance to listen to them live.
The holiday program in Burgas is full with lots of concerts. They begin on Sunday at 10 a.m. in the church “The Virgin Mary” with a performance by choir “Rodna pesen” (Folk song).
From 11 a.m. in the courtyard of primary school “St. Kliment Ohridski” begins the holiday concert, organized by community center “Izgrev 1909”. At the same time in front of church “St. Ivan Rilski” is the holiday concert under the name “Easter messages”. It is organized by community center “Asen Zlatarov 1940”.
On Easter, music will sound in one of the favorite places of residents of Burgas – the park near the Clock. There at 11 a.m. the Burgas brass orchestra will perform classical pieces to the public.
“Meden rudnik” is also a part of the Easter festivities. “From antiquity to eternity” is the message, which the folklore singers Kostadin Mihaylov, Zlatka and Irina Stavrevi, Stoyan Ganchev and Dimitar Yordanov will send to the audience at sports hall “Nikola Stanchev” exactly at 12 p.m.
*”Easter mood” is the name of the concert, which will lift the spirits at square “Troikata”.
This concert begins on Sunday at 12 p.m.; participating in it are string orchestra lead by concert maestro Yordan Kovachev, kids choir “Milka Stoeva”, club “Morski pesachinki”, ballet and soloists: Denko Prodanov – tenor, Anna Vutova – soprano, Filip Tahmisyan – oboe.
The “Sea casino” will offer two chamber concerts for music fans. The first is “On Easter day” and includes performances by Blagovesta Ryadkova – piano, Atanas Kamilarov and Hristo Kojuharov – clarinet, Vesela Apostolova – soprano – in hall “Petya Dubarova” from 4 p.m. on the 12th of April, Sunday. The program include a variety of works – from the maestros of classical music – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Carl Stamitz; the romanticists: Johannes Brahms and Franz Schubert; trough the romances of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and the dances (Waltz and Gavotte) by Dmitri Shostakovich; the fiery rhythms of Hungarian dances (from Brahms) and a song from Bizet; to “Summertime” by George Gershwin.
The second concert in the casino is called “Easter joy” and is with Radostina Kranteva – soprano, Jelio Stoyanov – violin, Margarita Petranova – piano. Their performance can be heard in hall “Petya Dubarova” at 11 a.m. on 13th of April, Monday. The second day of the Easter holidays will be commemorated with works of: Vivaldi – “Spring” from “The four seasons”, Debussy – “Arabesque” and “The girl with flaxen hair”, Mozart – “Susanna’s aria” from “The Marriage of Figaro”, “Longing for Spring” and “Alleluia”, Bach – Gunod “Ave Maria”, as well as original works by Margarita Petranova.
The last Easter concert in Burgas will be performed by ensemble “Strandja” on Monday, 13th of April, at 12 p.m. at square “Atanas Sirekov”.
