Nature Park “Strandja” celebrated its 20th birthday

Nature Park “Strandja”, which is the largest protected area in the country, celebrated its 20th birthday.

The celebration was celebrated with a big cake and a presentation of the activities that management of the protected area has realized within the project “Sustainable management and structure Nature Park Strandja“.

On the territory of the park are preserved some plant species that millions of years ago have been found throughout Europe, but today cane be met only in Strandja.

This spring will be opened 5 new tourist routes, which will represent the unique nature of the mountain. They have a total length of 70 km. Some eco-path will pass by the sea, while others will reveal the sights near the villages of Kosti, Gramatikovo, Zabernovo.

It is envisaged the opening of 18 information points, the restoration of an old rope bridge, and the installation of new park furniture in many places in Strandja.

With a rich program will be celebrated the 12th Festival of the Strandja`s Zelenika, which will be held in May, near the village of Vizitsa.
