Burgas is known to be one of the best locations in Bulgaria for ornithological tourism. Thanks to our geographical location on the Black Sea coast and close to three large lakes - Atanasovsko, Vaya and Mandra, Burgas provides a unique opportunity to observe a wide variety of birds. The areas around the city are home to hundreds of species, including many rare ones.
On 11.01.2025 the first tours of Burgas Bird Walks will take place, where you will be able to experience the interesting world of ornithology. The tours will include not only a professional ornithologist guide who will be on hand to share with everyone how to find and identify the different bird species, but also professional equipment - a telescope, binoculars and a bird identifier - a book with all the bird species in Europe, which will be used to identify the different specimens. The tour is suitable for beginners - the guide will introduce all participants to how to use the birding equipment and how to successfully identify bird species.
Tour times are from 09:00 to 11:00 and 11:30 to 13:30, and the exact location as well as details will be sent to everyone who has purchased tickets.
