Burgas has always been a city of poets, and what could be more appropriate than a boat adventure dedicated to poetry and music?
"On May 30, we invite you to a poetry cruise with representatives of the Burgas writing community. Foreign guests will also take part in it - participants in the "Holy Word" International Literary Festival, organized by the "L. Karavelov 1940" Primary School, implemented with the financial support of the "Culture" fund of the Municipality of Burgas. This year, the representatives are from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, etc., as well as from Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo," commented Roza Boyanova. She is the chairman of the association "Burgas Writers' Community".
From 10:00 a.m. ship "Anastasia" will depart from Magazia 1 to dock at the romantic cultural-tourist complex "Chengene Skele" And from 12:00 p.m. it will set sail for the beloved island of St. Anastasia. Popular Burgas bards will perform there with guitars, all present will also enjoy a poetic reading of selected works.
"The Poet's Hour" on an open stage of Fr. St. Anastasia is also one of the highlights of the "Holy Word" International Literary Festival. It was realized with the cooperation of Pavlin Dimitrov - the island's manager, and was attended by the guests of the festival and Burgas writers. A competent jury will evaluate the most attractively submitted author's works. Honorees will receive prizes. All those wishing to write a poem or short story inspired by the island in the "Creator's Notebook" compete in the contest for the work of the month and the annual awards of the governor of the island.
In "The Hour of the Poet" we will also enjoy the new author's songs of Tatiana Yotova - a poet and bard from the Burgas Writers' Community.
