See the eco catamaran with which we will travel to the Island and Chengene scaffolding

The presentation of the eco catamaran was on the occasion of the 118th anniversary of the opening of the first modern Bulgarian port in Bourgas

The first of its kind for our country eco catamaran with hybrid engines docked at noon at the port of Burgas. With the new vessel we will be able to travel from Bourgas to St. Anastasia Island and the fishing village of Chengene Scaffolding during the active season. The ship was built as part of a joint project of Bulgaria, Greece and Georgia.

The presentation of the eco catamaran was on the occasion of the 118th anniversary of the opening of the first modern Bulgarian port in Bourgas. The vessel is under the project "Sailing through the Black Sea", funded by OP "Black Sea Basin 2014-2020".

The mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, the regional governor Valcho Cholakov, the director of the port of Burgas Diyan Dimov, students from the Maritime School in Burgas were the first to get on it.

The catamaran, which was built in Tsarevo, has water sensors that will measure the levels of chlorophyll, dissolved oxygen and the pH level of seawater. The information collected by the catamaran will be freely used by all interested organizations.
