Burgas will host the first hackathon on "Artificial Intelligence for the city"

Burgas will host an online hackathon on the topic "Artificial Intelligence for the City" / AI for City /. The event will be entirely dedicated to the latest trends in technological development and professions of the future. It will take place on March 26 and 27, and its goal is to develop an idea for an application that will help make the urban environment cleaner and more accessible to people.

Artificial intelligence is a key technology for the future, which finds more and more applications today - in medicine, transport, online commerce, agriculture, smart cities. In recent years, real breakthroughs have been achieved thanks to increased processing power, the collection of huge data sets and the development of new algorithms. It is predicted that artificial intelligence will lead to major changes in the near future, even a complete digital transformation of society.

The organizers of the first hackathon, dedicated entirely to Artificial Intelligence, are the Professional High School of Computer Programming and Innovation, the IT companies that are on the board of trustees and partner with the high school and the Municipality of Burgas.

Teams consisting of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 participants, aged 12 to 18 at the date of the competition, can participate in the technology event. Students will play certain roles in the teams that will contribute to the development of the intelligent application.

During the hackathon, participants will have the opportunity to upgrade their technological knowledge through a series of online lectures and trainings by proven experts in the field of Artificial Intelligence in our country.

Attractive prizes for the best three teams will be provided by the Municipality of Burgas and the partner companies of the Vocational High School of Computer Programming and Innovation.
