Readers of the new Peyo Yavorov Regional Library will be able to book and rewrite books from their homes. This is possible after the installation of new software with various functionalities, which will facilitate the work of librarians and users.

Subscribers will be able to check from home what books they owe, to book books, to search the database and articles on topics that interest them. The information will be uploaded to two servers - one will serve readers and the other librarians.

All books will be marked with a chip that gives information about the inventory number of each edition. In this way, it will be easy to trace where the book is and whether it is available for borrowing. In addition, the chip guarantees the security of each print edition of the library. With the RFID theft detector installed, there is no way for an unfriendly visitor to leave with a book without registering its borrowing, as it identifies the code of each book owned by the library, and its sensors activate an alarm system.

The third convenience that new technologies provide will greatly facilitate the book inventory process. With a special device you will go through the shelves with books and the available copies will be reflected so that an inventory of the entire fund can then be made.

"Automating library activities will help librarians and readers. The main advantage is that readers will be able to more easily find the documents they are looking for both on the spot and through the Internet search engine, "commented Galina Savova, a longtime librarian at the Peyo Yavorov Regional Library in Burgas.
