The building of the Ethnographic Museum is one of the most emblematic in our city and the only one preserved in the so-called Constantinople style. Today it is an architectural monument of culture. It was last restored in the period 1976-1981. It was then that the house, which had previously been a school and a hotel, housed the ethnographic exposition. As of today, the Municipality of Burgas and the management of the Regional Historical Museum - Burgas have prepared in cooperation and managed to defend a quality project for restoration and even greater socialization of the property, which will be implemented with European funding.

A complete renovation of the two floors of the house and renovation of the equipment inside is planned. The museum will have additional storage. The stone staircase will be structurally strengthened, to which a ramp for access of people in wheelchairs will be installed. In addition to the building itself, the yard will be landscaped. A new sidewalk will be built, a new fence will be installed.
Two new restoration workshops for ceramics and glass / metal will be located in the yard. The project includes a small stage for recreating rituals, chamber concerts and performances, and the favorite of many citizens of Burgas ethnographic cafe will be renovated. Its menu is expected to include favorite specialties of the Bulgarians from the end of the 19th century.

There are opportunities for year-round training for young craftsmen, for organizing interesting live events and all this to attract more people of all ages to visit not only the museum exhibition, but also the beautiful communicative yard in the central part of Burgas.
