Citizens of Burgas will celebrate St. Nicholas Day online

For the first time, citizens of Burgas will celebrate the city's holiday - St. Nicholas Day, not in the traditional way on the streets and in the square, but online. The Municipality of Burgas thanks everyone who took part in the survey and gave suggestions, some of which will be implemented.

By order of the mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov, the saved funds from St. Nicholas Day, Christmas and New Year will be redistributed for the purchase of specialized equipment for the treatment of C-19, as well as protective clothing and protective equipment for medical institutions.

The traditional fish soup and grilled fish will not be distributed at the usual points. More than 3,000 portions will be prepared, which will be delivered to social centers and hospitals for the doctors working on St. Nicholas Day, nurses, service staff and patients.

The festive online program will start in the morning and all citizens of Burgas who want to congratulate their fellow citizens on the holiday can join it. They must send their video within 20 seconds to e-mail: media@burgas.bg by December 1.

All events will be broadcast in real time on the FB pages of the Municipality of Burgas. Throughout the day, video messages of famous citizens of Burgas, as well as citizens, will be published there.
