Burgas will be the first city to host a large-scale International Symposium on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine - BioInfoMed '2020. On October 8-10 in the newly built Congress Center of the Sea Station leading scientists from around the world will gather for the first time to present the most modern research and innovation in the fields of biomedicine, bioinformatics, computer technology, public health and quality of life.

The interest in the first edition of the conference led to 94 scientific papers, which were submitted, of which 75 were approved and admitted. The authors are scientists and researchers from Mexico, India, Great Britain, South Africa, France, Australia, USA, Belgium. , Poland, Uzbekistan, Macedonia and other countries. Among them are prominent scientists from Boston University and Harvard Medical School, USA, the Technological Institute of Tijuana, Mexico and other prestigious universities and research institutes.

The organizers of the forum are the Institute of Biophysics and Biomedical Engineering at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, University "Prof. Dr. Assen Zlatarov" - Burgas, University Multidisciplinary Hospital for Active Treatment and Emergency Medicine "N.I.Pirogov", the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and the Municipality of Burgas.

Among the leading topics of the forum will be analyzes of big data in medicine and biology, decision making in medicine, artificial intelligence in medicine and healthcare, biomedical modeling and engineering, biomembranes and biomaterials, cell and tissue engineering, computational biology and biomolecular modeling.
