UNIQUE MILITARY PHOTOS AND DOCUMENTS ARE EXHIBITED IN THE HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The documentary exhibition "Resurrection of Freedom" was opened in the Natural History Museum at 31 "Lermontov" Str. in Burgas. The occasion is the 142nd anniversary of the end of the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878) and the Liberation of Bulgaria. The opening of the exposition was also part of the program of Burgas Municipality for the celebration of February 6 - Liberation of Burgas from Ottoman rule.

The exhibition is the work of the State Agency "Archives" and visits our city at the invitation of the Regional Burgas Museum and Territorial State Archives Burgas. The preparation of the photo-document boards is a joint initiative of the archives of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Romania. They include documents, photographs and engravings representing the warring countries, the course of the military actions, life during the war, and its final stage with the signing of the San Stefano and Berlin Peace Treaties. Many of the materials are presented for the first time to the public of Burgas.

The exhibition "Resurrection of Freedom" can be visited until February 26, 2020.
