The Minister of Tourism Nikolina Angelkova congratulated all participants of the Bulgarian stand at the World Travel Market (WTM) tourist exhibition in London, which took place from 4 to 6 November. The Exchange is the largest professionally-owned market worldwide, and this year was its 40th anniversary edition.
The Municipality of Burgas presented on a stand with a rich collection of promotional materials promoting the advantages of our city. A major British tour operator, interested in the island of Burgas, St. Anastasia, told, Pavlin Dimitrov, the island's manager, attended to the exhibition. Negotiations are underway with other companies to visit St. Anastasia. Exept traveling to the island and romantic nights, the island offers a rich cultural and concert program. "Groups of tourists looking for a non-standard type of travel and accommodation are very intrigued by our tourism product," the island manager said.
The exhibitors are also very interested in the festival tourism that Burgas offers. "The Burgas festivals also provoke the curiosity of the companies and I hope there are some who will plan deliberate trips to Burgas for the purpose of attending a certain festival and why not a few," he added. „The Jazz Festival in Burgas“, „the Sand Sculpture Festival“, „the Fish and Wine Festival“, the SPICE Music Festival 90`s Edition and more from the upcoming season were presented.
