A new web platform, www.marlenablacksea.eu, aiming at raising public awareness and engaging in pollution problems of rivers, coasts, forests and protected areas and attracting more adherents to preserve cleanliness in the Black Sea region, was presented in Burgas a few days ago. Through the platform, anyone can identify contaminated sites and organize or participate in the cleaning actions. The Territorial coverage is for all countries from which partners are part of the MARLENA project - Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova and Ukraine, funded under the "Black Sea 2014-2020 "Operational Program.

In 2019 and 2020 as a partner in the project, "Green Strandzha" Association will organize numerous actions for cleaning of difficult accessible beaches along the southern coast of Bulgaria, as well as children's eco-camps.

At a meeting in Burgas were presented and policies to protect the Black Sea, the types of major pollutants, cross-border initiatives and good practices to reduce waste in the Black Sea basin and various initiatives to raise awareness and commitment of young people to improve the environmental situation in Burgas.
