On February 14, RHM-Burgas invites all couples in love and people related to viticulture and wine-making to a free visit to the Archaeological Exposition (21, "Bogoridi" Street).
February 14th is known as a Holiday of wine and love, honoring Trifon Zarezan and Valentin. Less known is that on this day the Bulgarian archaeologists mark their professional holiday. It`s celebration on this date began in 1971 at the initiative of the Archaeological Institute with a museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (now the National Archaeological Institute with a museum at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences).
The history of the holiday in our lands is related to the celebrations in honor of Dionysus - the God of wine and joy. Frustrated by wine and under the influence of music and dances, the participants in the holiday sought Dionysus' protection and some immortality or happy life in the afterlife.
