Burgas Municipality revives the traditional and popular among citizens and guests of Burgas swimming marathon from "St. Anastasia" island to the Pier. All friends of swimming sports will be able to show their abilities on the 9th of August 2014. The start will be at 10.05.
All who wish to participate have to be on the Pier on the same day at 07.00 o'clock for registration, instruction and transport to "St. Anastasia" island. The final of the marathon will be on the Pier.
The marathon can be attended by all citizens and guests of Burgas, more than 14 years old, with agreement and signature of the parents. The participants have to sign declaration that they are able to swim the distance.
The distance from the Island to the Pier is 6400 meters. It has to be swam without help in free chosen style.
Total prize fund is 6000 lv. in two categories - men and women, which will be given from 1st to 10th place.
Special guest on the awarding ceremony will be the Olympic champion of Bulgaria in swimming Tanya Bogomilova.
Swimming marathon is organized by Burgas Municipality and Swimming club "Breeze" - Burgas.
