The dance formation will present once again their newest performance to the Burgas audience. Georgi Dimitrov, the director of the dance formation and one of the authors of the idea for his realization together with Nikolay Parushev, says that the "The Roosters" have not done such a big project, combining in modern way folk dances, fire show, pyrotechnics and live bagpipes.

The performance is based on the legend of Rusokastron fortress near the village of Rusokastro, recorded in the 1950s by Nikola Prodanov, who heard the story from the 86-year-old grandpa Marco on the "Rusin`s Stone".

On the stage, a magical story will come to life about the girl Rusa and the dragon who falls in love with the beauty and wants to kidnap her. He turns into a young man and pursues her, but the beauty is in love with another. On St.George`s Day, when Rusa is dancing on the square to her beloved, the dragon takes her awaz. Her relatives turn for help to Saint George, who is touched by their grief, defeats the dragon in a terrible battle, punching him with his spear, and saves the girl. That is why, on St. George's Day, the people from all the surrounding villages gathered to  the Saint - this is the biggest and most honored gathering until the beginning of the 1950s in Burgas region.

The performance will be played on the stage of the State Opera - Burgas, on March 12, at 19:00. Tickets can be purchased from the cash desk in the Opera House.
