A girl from Burgas with award from photo competition of the European Union

A girl from Burgas won a award from photo competition of the European union "Europe in my region". The winner is Alia Kazandjieva with a photograph taken from at the wall of the fairy tales in the Sea Garden of Burgas. The photo has sealed a game of the wonderful Sofia Ivanova. The young winner is a student of one of the most famous Burgas photographers Borislav Penkov.

"Europe in my region" is a campaign within the European Union that encourages citizens to find European projects close to them. In 2017, there are four different initiatives - open days for projects, photo contest, project search, and blog competition - to share EU-funded projects and share pictures and experiences from them through social media.

The jury, consisting of two photographers and a communications expert, selected the three winners from over 700 photographs from 25 countries. And the winners of the "Europe in my region" 2017 photo competition are: Alia Kazandjieva from Bulgaria, Matthew Brown of the United Kingdom and Dirk Harmsen from Sweden.
