On September 30, the 35th Jubilee Festival "Golden Rose" was opened in Varna and will continue until 7 October. The organizer of the event is the National Film Center in partnership with the Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian National Film Festival. This year's competition will feature a total of 42 full-length and short feature films from the past year. Among them are the first two films from the short program "Open Horizons", from the series "Waking dream", directed by Petya Stoykova and Yosif Astrukov.
Six dancers in ballet costumes at the port of Burgas, on the bus, on the pier at the bar ... "Waking dream" is a short dance film that takes the classic ballet out of the stage, on the street, between people and everyday life. Their presence is unreal and short-lived - they disappear, leaving the city as we know it.
