Yacht-Club "Port Burgas" will host the European Championship IODA 2017

The application for hosting of Yacht Club "Port Burgas", together with the Bulgarian Sailing Federation, was approved at a general meeting of the International Association of Optimist Class. For the prestigious regatta, 275 contestants from 45 countries have enrolled. There are participants from countries outside the European Union such as the USA, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Japan, China and others. Over 85 are the accompanying coaches and drivers. The first racers begin to arrive early next week.

The championship will be held between July 30 and August 6, 2017.
