Today we celebrate the International Day of Theater

The International Theater Day was designated in 1961 by the IX Congress of the International Theater Institute (International Theatre Institute, ITI). It is celebrated every year on this date, with a variety of performances locally and internationally.In Bulgaria we celebrate the International Theater Day with the Awards "IKAR" - the most prestigious award for the Performing Arts. From 2006 until today they are awarded by the Union of Actors in Bulgaria for professional achievements in the field of theater, circus and cabaret art in 19 categories.
