Tourist attractions of Burgas Municipality were presented at tourism exhibitions ITB-Berlin on 05-09.03. and TTR-Bucharest on 13-16.03.2014. The participation was part of the project “The Magic of Antiquity and Beauty of Nature from Burgas Bay to Strandzha Mountain”, funded by Operational program “Regional Development” 2007-2013, co-funded by the European Union through the European fund for regional development, contract BG161PO001/3.2-02/2011/016.
Partners of Burgas municipality are municipalities of Primorsko, Malko Tarnovo, Sredets and Kameno. Attractive cards and brochures presented Saint Anastasia Island, medieval city of Deltum-Develt, Thracian megalithic sanctuary Beglik Tash and the natural beauties of Strandzha mountain – part of the variety of historical sites and natural attractions are also included in the project.
The aim of the joint initiative is promoting the tourist destinations in the five municipalities.

The project was presented in Berlin on an attractive stand, organized by the Ministry of Economy and Energy. It was nearly 500 square meters and in Bucharest the stand was 200 square meters. The interest in the region was very high, with feedbacks from tour operators, tour agents and people who work in this sector. The municipalities that are partners in this project will continue their participation in tourism fairs on national level in Veliko Tarnovo, Burgas and Ruse.
