Over 270 couples from Austria, Germany, Russia, Serbia, Poland, Azerbaijan, Greece, Switzerland, Latvia, Albania, Estonia, Slovakia, Italy, Turkey, Romania, Moldova and Bulgaria will take part in the jubilee edition of the International dance sport tournament “Cup Burgas”. The prestigious competition, which will gather the world dancing elite, will be held on 5 and 6 September in hall “Mladost”.
“This unique tournament is one of the emblems of the city. This year residents and guests of the city will have the unique chance to enjoy the performances of the best couples and contenders for the top 10 world rankings” said the deputy mayor of culture and education and Yordanka Ananieva.
The organizers of the prestigious tournament are Municipality Burgas, Bulgarian dance sport federation and Club of dance sport “Burgas 1975”.
The international tournament will be held by tradition under the patronage of the mayor of Burgas Dimitar Nikolov.
“This year it is a double holiday, because except the 30 year anniversary of the International tournament, our club marks 40 years from its founding. We have invited many former champions and representatives of the management of the club”, explained Andrey Todorov, chairman of club “Burgas 1975”.
For a second time in the framework of this year’s edition will be held the tournament “Rising stars”. This is a competition for rising stars of latino and standard dancing. In it the tournament will take part dancers, who have recently joined the age group “above 19”.
The sale of tickets in both tournament days 5 and 6 September will happen on the ticket-desks of hall “Mladost”. The price is 6 leva, and for both competition days – 10 leva. For people with disabilities, pensioners and children up to 6 years old – free entry.
