With a workshop for afro-brazil rhythms, percussions and demonstrations of capoeira will be marked the International day of youth in Burgas. The event will be held on 12 August from 19:00 hours on the stage of expo center "Flora". The organizers are Municipality Burgas and Youth culture center.
The Brazilian percussionist Claudio Kron Do Brasil will lead a fun and dynamic workshop for afro-brazil rhythms. People of all ages can participate in the percussion round. Special guests of the event will be ABADA-CAPOEIRA BULGARIA, who will perform breath-stopping demonstrations of capoeira - a combination of martial arts and dance, originating from the African slaves in Brazil. Under the rhythms, given by Claudio, the capoeira dancers will present this art in a flashy way.
The international day of youth is marked since the year 2000 with a resolution of the Main assembly of the UN from December 17 1999. The aim is to encourage the dialogue between the young people of different cultures and the dialogue between the generations.
* Claudio Kron do Brasil is a percussionist, composed, poet and producer, born in the state of Bahia (Brazil), and from 1996 works and lives in Great Britain. Regular guest music festivals around the world, Claudio is known also for his percussion workshops, which he organizes. His music combines traditional African and Portuguese themes with original Brazilian sound. Some of the instruments, on which Claudio plays, are congas, barimbau, chimbal, atabaque, pandeiro, repinique and surdo. He is in Bulgaria on occasion the International Jazz Festival in Bansko.
