By train

The trip to Burgas by train is convenient and pleasant. The railway system in the country is well-developed and the lines of most trains pass through picturesque areas, which makes the trip a real pleasure. There are trains to Burgas from all large and most smaller cities in Bulgaria. There are trains from and to Sofia throughout the day and night – the duration of the trip is between 6 and 7 hours.

The Burgas Train Station is located in the city centre, immediately next to Coach Station South and the Maritime Station. There is a taxi rank and bus stops nearby.

The Station building is a monument of architecture – do not miss the opportunity to look around. It is curious to know that the architects use the same design to build the train station in Varna – thus, the buildings look exactly the same to this day.
