Four intriguing titles from contemporary Japanese cinema will be presented in the final week of the "Cinema Under the Stars" initiative from September 7 to 10. The screenings will be broadcast on the open stage "Snail" from 20.30. The initiative is implemented by the Municipality of Burgas in partnership with the Embassy of Japan in Bulgaria and the Japan Foundation.

"Mori, the Artist's Habitat" (Director: Shuichi Okita, 2018, 99 min.)
The film shows a home full of flowering vegetation and small animals that serve as inspiration for the artist's paintings in the last years of his life.
September 8 (Tuesday) 8:30 p.m.
"Fate: A Tale of Kamakura" (Director: Takashi Yamazaki, 2017, 129 min.)
The young Akiko lives with her husband in the capital Kamakura, where fantastic creatures live next to people. One day, Akiko encounters a new adventure when her spirit is kidnapped in the underworld.
September 9 (Wednesday) 20:30
"Thrill" (Director: Akiko Ooku, 2017, 117 min.)
Young Yoshika is divided in her love thrills for her colleague from work and her childhood love from school. Yoshika faces a dilemma torn between her ideals and the real world.
September 10 (Thursday) 8:30 p.m.
"The Flying Tire" (Director: Katsuhide Motoki, 2018, 120 min.)
Mr Akamatsu is the president of a transport company whose truck broke down and caused a terrible accident. After the truck's manufacturers did not help find the cause of the accident, Akamatsu took the investigation into his own hands and revealed a terrible secret.
